I am a warm and compassionate therapist specializing in treating children/adolescents, adults and families.  My approach centers around providing a calm and comfortable environment which helps clients to feel safe understood and supported. This presents an ideal setting in which positive change can occur. Often I practice solution focused therapy. It focuses more on what clients want to achieve through therapy rather than on the problem(s) that made them seek help.

This approach does not focus on the past, but instead, focuses on the present and future.  I use respectful curiosity to invite the client to envision their preferred future and then therapist and client start attending to any moves towards it whether these are small increments or large changes. To support this, questions are asked about the client’s story, strengths and resources, and about exceptions to the problem. I provide coaching as well as counseling in areas of parenting, social skill development and life transitions.  As a therapist my goal is to promote awareness and foster positive change in the lives of my clients.
